Passive Fire Inspections
Independent inspections across new build and refurbishment schemes covering risers, shafts, ceiling voids, compartment lines and service penetrations. Our approach combines visual and targeted intrusive checks to verify that installed systems reflect the intended fire strategy and tested details. We review product selection, substrate preparation, seal configuration, jointing, spacing to edges and adjacent seals, backing materials and fixings, and we identify conflicts with MEP, drywall and structural elements. Observations are photographed and location referenced, with each nonconformity linked to an applicable manufacturer detail or published guidance to support practicable remedial actions and close out on live projects.
Fire Door Inspections
Comprehensive inspections of new and existing doorsets, carried out against relevant UK guidance and manufacturer data. We assess door leaves, frames, linings, stops and architraves; intumescent and smoke seals (type, continuity and condition); hinges, locks, latches, closers, keeps and other ironmongery (suitability, fixing and CE/UKCA evidence); glazing systems and beading; threshold and perimeter gaps; signage and identification; hold open and access control interfaces; and compatibility of components within the tested door assembly. Where appropriate, we stage inspections through installation to practical completion, issuing clear defect lists with risk based prioritisation and re inspection sign off to provide an auditable trail for the client and building control.
Detailed Reports
Structured, photo rich reports that collate observations by location and system type, provide clear severity and priority ratings, and reference the applicable manufacturer detail or guidance for each issue. Reports include overviews, methodology statements, evidence packs and close out recommendations designed for site teams and building control. Where requested, we can align outputs to your platform or template and provide re inspection sign off once corrective actions are verified, ensuring a complete and auditable compliance record.
